A COMMUNITY THAT BRINGS TOGETHER HEALTH CARE STAKEHOLDERS

Meet the people moving health care forward

For the duration of an event, PLS brings together all the stakeholders who shape health care, primary care, and first-line care in Canada. Clinicians, professionals, facility managers, researchers, policy decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and innovators come together—each with a different perspective on the same issues. This diversity creates conversations that go beyond the usual silos of the health system, where front-line professionals and senior leaders speak directly, on equal footing. It is this meeting of worlds that rarely intersect elsewhere that makes each PLS event uniquely valuable.

GROW YOUR NETWORK

Connections that open new perspectives

Each PLS event is designed to multiply networking opportunities: structured activities, dedicated breaks, receptions, and meetings facilitated by the PLS app. You will meet peers facing the same challenges, as well as decision-makers and leaders who would otherwise be difficult to reach. These connections formed on the margins of sessions often turn into concrete collaborations long after the event.

FAQ

How do I register for a PLS event?
Registration is done online, directly from the event page you are interested in. You will find the available options, applicable rates, and all the information you need to complete your registration in just a few minutes. Exception: PLS Pharmacy Day is by invitation only, and it is not possible to register directly.
How much does a ticket cost?
The cost varies depending on the event and the option selected. Current rates and registration terms are always available directly on the relevant event page, with details of what is included.
Will I receive a certificate of attendance, and does PLS qualify for training credits?
Yes. A certificate of attendance is issued after the event and can be retrieved directly in the PLS app. PLS does not issue formal continuing education credits, but many employers recognize participation as a professional development activity.
Are the talks recorded?
Only the talks presented in the plenary room are recorded, then posted on PLS’s YouTube channel, accessible via Beyond PLS. Presentations delivered on the other, more intimate stages are not recorded and can only be experienced on site.
Where and when do PLS events take place?
Dates and locations vary by event: the PLS Conference, accompanied by the IMPACT PLS Gala, as well as the forums and themed days, take place at different times of the year, in Montréal or Québec City (Québec). Visit the Events page for the up-to-date calendar and details for each edition.
Can I cancel or transfer my registration to someone else?
You cannot cancel or receive a refund, but you can transfer your ticket to another person directly from the PLS mobile app—much like transferring a concert ticket. This explainer video walks you through the steps to complete the transfer quickly and easily.  https://bit.ly/4rxamqN
Are events offered virtually/hybrid, or only in person?
No. PLS events are designed to be experienced in person: the contacts, meetings, and relationships created there do not translate as well at a distance. This closeness is what makes the experience valuable, both for networking and for informal exchanges between sessions.
Do I need to be a health professional to participate, or is the event open to others?
No. PLS events are open to anyone committed to transforming the health system and primary care: clinicians, managers, researchers, and decision-makers meet alongside partners, innovators, and representatives from organizations in other sectors, all brought together around the same issues.
I can’t find my profile in the attendee list (Connect PLS).
The list lets you browse other attendees, so your own profile does not appear in it. You can view and edit it directly in the PLS app. For other attendees to find you in their list, you need to have agreed to make your profile public.
How do I create my profile in the PLS app?
Download the PLS app, then sign in using the email address you used when registering. You can then complete your profile: photo, title, organization, and areas of interest. Your profile is only visible to other participants if you agree to make it public. See the video for more information: https://youtube.com/shorts/w3W_pcnrvxI?feature=share
